Description:
Witch Hazel distillate is produced from branches harvested in the autumn, which are cut to the ground, but re-sprout, producing a new harvest in a few years. It is distilled in stainless-steel vats for thirty-six hours, then re-heated, condensed and filtered. Alcohol is added as a preservative. Witch hazel distillate is also used as an astringent ingredient in a wide range of personal care products including deodorants, after shave lotions, cloth wipes, soaps, creams, toner and other products. It can be diluted with water to make a facial astringent and soothe irritated skin. Our Witch hazel Distillate contains 14% Alcohol.
